Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ali Gomez (ranked 3555 p4p, 4580 weight class) and Gord Downey (ranked 244 p4p, 310 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gomez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Eye of The Tiger. Gord Downey is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez throws a body punch but Downey moves out of range.
Downey closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Downey has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gomez regains guard immediately.
Gomez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gomez has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Downey doesn't defend quickly enough and Gomez has managed to lock this one up! Can Downey escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gomez on a fantastic submission victory.
