PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Josh Jordan (ranked 2956 p4p, 3273 weight class) and King Watts (ranked 210 p4p, 226 weight class). Jordan's entrance music is Beguiled- Smashing Pumpkins. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watts slips a jab from Jordan.
Jordan cracks Watts with an open hand slap.
Watts on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jordan digs a good body shot into Watts's ribs.
Jordan connects with a right hand. Watts shakes it off.

Watts closes the distance and clinches up with Jordan, looking for a takedown. Watts pushes Jordan against the cage but Jordan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Watts's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Watts's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Jordan lands with a straight right. Watts didn't see that one coming.
Watts shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Watts has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Watts there as he acknowledges the shot.

Jordan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Watts has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Watts there as he acknowledges the shot.
Watts has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Jordan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A little jabbing left from Watts on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Jordan loads up on a big right hand but Watts slips the punch.

Watts swings for the body but Jordan moves out of range.

Watts tries to move into range but Jordan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Watts takes a jab right on the kisser.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Josh Jordan is winning the standup battle so far.
Watts throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jordan's waist but Jordan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Watts off to one side.

BOOM! Jordan lands a beautiful left hook that drops Watts. Watts tries to recover but Jordan is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Watts lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

A relieved looking Josh Jordan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
