This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jake Dunn! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 28 losses; Diego Hageman! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Dunn tries to clinch up. Hageman tries to counter with a clinch but Dunn shakes him off and moves away. Hageman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hageman wants it to stay on the feet. Hageman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dunn napping and manages to drive through into side control! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Dunn (0) vs (4) Hageman Dunn manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Hageman trying to control from half guard but Dunn is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dunn is looking to control Hageman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dunn avoid being mounted? Hageman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dunn has managed to free his arm - good work. Hageman slows the pace down in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hageman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dunn is just riding it out for now. Hageman eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hageman is looking to stall here but Dunn recovers full guard. Hageman has gone for a leg lock! Dunn slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hageman's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Dunn (2) vs (4) Hageman Dunn advances to half guard. Hageman is not content to let Dunn control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunn wants to pass to mount but Hageman is defending the position. Dunn passes the guard and advances to mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Dunn (5) vs (4) Hageman Dunn jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hageman is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hageman and Dunn has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Hageman is not content to let Dunn control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hageman can't do much from the bottom here. Dunn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dunn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hageman keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dunn advances to full mount. Score +2 for reaching mount: Dunn (7) vs (4) Hageman
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dunn trying to control but Hageman is having none of it. Dunn is really struggling to control Hageman but he's trying to hold on to the position. Dunn is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hageman has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hageman! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Dunn (7) vs (6) Hageman Dunn has his foot on Hageman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hageman works his way back into a safe position though.

Score +3 for passing guard: Dunn (7) vs (9) Hageman Dunn wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Hageman seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Dunn is tapping! Wow, great finish!
