Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Miami!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Freddie Simons!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miami has managed to clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Miami.
Simons tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Miami just stands there and leans against the cage.
Simons is looking for a takedown.
Miami's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Miami stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Miami pushes Simons back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Miami lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Miami lands a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Simons jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miami engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Simons escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miami gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Simons looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Miami has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Miami slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Simons working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Simons is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Miami has his hands clasped together but Simons extends and breaks Miami's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Simons.
