Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kulata Bitok (ranked 23878 p4p, 5285 weight class) and Neil Nucombe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 56 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Neil Nucombe!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nucombe throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bitok counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nucombe won't be happy with that.
Nucombe struggling a bit here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nucombe might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bitok haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Bitok wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nucombe keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looked like Bitok was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Neil Nucombe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd cheers as Nucombe lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bitok doesn't seem phased though.

and Bitok counters with a body kick that stops Nucombe in his tracks momentarily.

Nucombe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bitok moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bitok jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Nucombe loads up on a big right hand but Bitok slips the punch.
Bitok closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Nucombe looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Nucombe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bitok circles away quickly and effectively.

Neil Nucombe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bitok takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Nucombe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Neil Nucombe is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nucombe creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Bitok changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nucombe fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kulata Bitok has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bitok shoots for a takedown but Nucombe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kulata Bitok. That's going to take a lot out of him.
