Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 23927 p4p, 23886 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 36 - 52 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 49 - 41 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buktot fails with the takedown and Buut counters with a left to the body. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Buut throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Buktot is looking for a counter combo. Buut closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Buktot quickly recovers to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut trying to control the pace. Buktot is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Buktot preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Buut prevents Buktot from improving his position. Buut performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Buktot working a defensive guard but Buut passes into half guard.
Buut content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buktot is looking to control Buut's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Buktot avoid being mounted? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Buktot shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Buut pinned against the cage. Buut gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Buktot dives in and grabs Buut's left leg, looking for a takedown. Buut pushes down on Buktot's head and hops out. And Buut responds with a good body kick, but Buktot manages to step out the way in time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot avoids a kick to the body.
Buktot is looking to counter with head kicks. Buut shoots in but no luck this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Buut. Buktot fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Buut to the ground. Buktot is now in Buut's guard. Buktot is fighting to break Buut's control of his arms but Buut is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Buut wants to get back to his feet but Buktot is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Buut has his hands on Buktot's head, controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buktot stays in close to Buut's body and controls the position. Buut preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Buktot trying to control the position from guard on top but Buut is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Buktot changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Buut tries to avoid it but Buktot manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Buut to the ground. Buut escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Buktot leaves Buut with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Buktot quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Buut changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Buktot looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buut is looking to take a break and control but Buktot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Buut is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot defending against the ground and pound. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Walay Buut will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Buktot is defended easily by Buut. Buut steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Buut shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Buktot thinks about countering with a body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Buktot on his heels. He'll look to pass Buktot's guard now, I'm sure.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot has his hands on Buut's head, controlling the position. Buktot keeping moving, preventing Buut from controlling successfully. Buktot is controlling Buut's posture. Buut throws an elbow that misses. Buktot uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Buut's guard. Nice move by Buktot!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Buktot is fighting to break Buut's control of his arms but Buut is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Buktot's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut keeping full guard, as Buktot tries to pass.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buktot gets the takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Buut's face as Buktot controls the position. Buktot wants to lay and pray for a moment but Buut keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buut struggling a bit here. Buut is not content to let Buktot control the position. Dawindi Buktot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Buut taking a bit of punishment here - Buktot scoring with strikes. Walay Buut is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Buktot wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Dawindi Buktot showed his dominance in that final round. Well Buut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
