Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23868 p4p, 23820 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wala Sapi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 50 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 42 - 44 - 8, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Sapi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mibangon but Mibangon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mibangon attempts a counter takedown but Sapi avoids it well and moves away.
Mibangon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sapi circles away.
Mibangon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sapi.
Mibangon fires out a quick counter leg kick but Sapi just manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mibangon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mibangon wants it to stay on the feet.
Mibangon went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Sapi closes the distance and clinches up with Mibangon, looking for a takedown. Sapi pushes Mibangon against the cage but Mibangon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sapi was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Mibangon has his hands clasped together around Sapi's back. He's all about the action.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sapi throws a push kick but Mibangon slaps the foot to one side.

Mibangon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sapi is fending him off so far but Mibangon persists. Nope, Sapi circles away and we're back to standing.

Mibangon is controlling Sapi's trapped leg to prevent Sapi from advancing to side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mibangon tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Sapi has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Sapi controlling the position easily from mount.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Wala Sapi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Mibangon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sapi for as long as he can get away with.

It looked like Mibangon was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mibangon enables Sapi to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mibangon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
