Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim Jones (ranked 310 p4p, 812 weight class) and Calvin Deane (ranked 22 p4p, 49 weight class). Deane has chosen Cinderella Man as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deane drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Deane working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Jones is not content to let Deane control the position.
Deane is stalling here. Jones is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Deane seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jones has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Deane is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jones off and has taken his back!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A relieved looking Calvin Deane thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
