This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 56 wins and 37 losses; Vasiliy Kulik! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 34 wins and 43 losses; Gaston Juncker!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Juncker misses with a takedown attempt - Kulik sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Juncker has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Kulik's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Kulik is stinking the place up with his stalling.
Juncker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
