Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Banks (ranked 3566 p4p, 25482 weight class) and Mariusz Pudzianowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Glenn Banks has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mariusz Pudzianowski! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pudzianowski throws a body kick that misses. Banks pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Banks manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pudzianowski on his heels. He'll look to pass Pudzianowski's guard now, I'm sure. Banks controls from within his opponent's guard. Banks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pudzianowski is just riding it out for now. Banks eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Banks seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Banks works his way into side control. Banks tries to advance to mount but Pudzianowski denies him. Banks looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Banks is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pudzianowski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pudzianowski is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Pudzianowski has eaten all the pies! Pudzianowski prevents Banks from improving position. Banks lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Banks tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Banks lands a decent elbow from side control. Banks is trying to get an arm triangle but Pudzianowski is defending well.

Banks tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Banks wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pudzianowski, who protects the arm well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Banks tries to advance to mount but can't. Banks shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Banks working over Pudzianowski with some ground and pound. Pudzianowski looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Banks uses his free foot to push down on Pudzianowski's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pudzianowski. Banks is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pudzianowski can do to turn this around? Banks controlling the position easily from mount. Banks is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pudzianowski is surviving well by controlling Banks's body position as best he can. Banks with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
