Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Petrov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricardo P Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Petrov misses with a hook
and P Cruz counters with a one-two to the body.
A shot to the liver by Petrov. Beautiful body shot.
P Cruz misses with a wild combination.
Petrov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but P Cruz was well out of range. Poor timing from Petrov.
A looping hook to the body misses from Petrov. P Cruz does a little dance to reset his feet.
Petrov lands a right hook to the body.
P Cruz staying out of range there.
P Cruz swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The crowd cheers as Petrov lands an impressive looking overhand right. P Cruz doesn't seem phased though.
Petrov lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Petrov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Petrov takes one to the chin there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Petrov keeps the fight on the outside.
Petrov was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Petrov moves out of range of the body kick.
P Cruz throws a wild body kick that Petrov sees coming a mile off.
P Cruz stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Petrov.
P Cruz takes one to the side of the head.
Petrov slips a jab and a cross from P Cruz.
Petrov fires out a quick counter leg kick but P Cruz just manages to avoid it.
A head kick misses from P Cruz.
Petrov tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and P Cruz is able to avoid easily.
Petrov tests P Cruz's chin there with a solid looking shot.
P Cruz lands with an uppercut that bounces Petrov off the cage and back into range.
The crowd cheers as P Cruz lands an impressive looking overhand right. Petrov doesn't seem phased though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
P Cruz looks up at the clock. Bad move! Petrov lands a right hand from hell, dropping P Cruz. Petrov pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Petrov!
Ivan Petrov opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
