Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jean Sebastien Blais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Hermiston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blais comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - One. Hermiston has chosen Rusty Cage as his entrance music. Jean Sebastien Blais has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Sebastien Blais! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Hermiston! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hermiston doesn't manage to clinch there - Blais circles away.
Hermiston wants to clinch up but Blais keeps it at a distance. Hermiston tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blais swats him away and circles back towards the center. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hermiston. Hermiston shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hermiston was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hermiston controlling the position easily from mount. Blais is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hermiston looking to control but Blais is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Blais can't escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Blais wants to hold on but Hermiston pushes him away. Hermiston tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Blais working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hermiston looking to control and managing it successfully. Blais might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hermiston's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Blais is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Andrew Hermiston dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hermiston scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Blais tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hermiston just stands there and leans against the cage. Blais is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hermiston pulls him back up using the underhooks. Blais takes an elbow to the temple. Blais takes an elbow to the forehead. Hermiston's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Blais has his takedown stuffed and Hermiston holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Sebastien Blais. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hermiston blocks the elbow strike.
Hermiston escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hermiston throws a leg kick but Blais sees it coming and checks it nicely. Andrew Hermiston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hermiston tries to clinch but Blais moves out of range. Hermiston fails with the takedown and Blais counters by moving into the clinch.

Hermiston has Blais pressed against the cage, preventing Blais from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Blais tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hermiston smiles and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hermiston tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Blais sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blais looking for submissions off his back. Blais is looking to control Hermiston's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Blais avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Blais looking for submissions off his back. Blais is staying active underneath Hermiston, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Hermiston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Hermiston clinches but Blais breaks the clinch and Blais counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hermiston breaks the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Blais has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Hermiston. Oh but Blais has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Hermiston goes limp - he's gone! Blais jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
