Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jaiden Davis (ranked 2839 p4p, 2840 weight class) and Jace Mccarty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mccarty rushes Davis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Davis fails to land.

Mccarty drags the fight down to the ground.

Mccarty throws a punch but it's blocked by Davis.

Mccarty has his feet on Davis's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Davis tries to close the distance and clinch but Mccarty swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Davis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mccarty is fending him off so far but Davis persists. Nope, Mccarty circles away and we're back to standing.

Mccarty throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Davis drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mccarty sprawls and moves away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Davis stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Davis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Mccarty pushes Davis up against the cage in a clinch.

Davis drags the fight down to the ground.

Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mccarty gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Davis throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Jace Mccarty dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Davis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mccarty swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Davis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mccarty tries to avoid it but Davis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mccarty to the ground. Mccarty escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mccarty has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Davis clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Davis manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.

Mccarty will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
