Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Daez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bobby Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rick Daez! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daez darts in and clinches Lee up against the cage. Daez scores a nice knee to the body.
Lee cracks Daez with a nice body shot. Lee wants the takedown. Daez is fighting it off but Lee persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Daez's guard against the cage. Lee throwing strikes but missing. Lee prevents Daez from getting back to his feet. Daez looking for a sweep. Not yet Daez, not yet. Daez tries to strike from the bottom.

Daez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lee's guard. Lee preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Daez is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lee keeping moving, preventing Daez from controlling successfully. Lee on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lee tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Daez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Daez working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lee trying to strike off his back.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Daez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lee. Daez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Daez tries to clinch but Lee is having none of it. Lee clinches up with Daez and pushes him back against the cage. Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Daez looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lee scores a takedown into full mount! Daez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Lee is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daez preventing the sweep. Daez postures up in Lee's guard and throws a big left but Lee blocks it. Daez passes into half guard. Daez working the head and body with strikes. Lee is refusing to be controlled, as Daez sits in half guard. Daez prevents Lee from improving his position. Lee misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Daez content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Lee is controlling Daez's trapped leg to prevent Daez from advancing to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee is staying active underneath Daez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Lee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Daez as he jumps to the side. Daez throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Daez wants to get back to his feet but Lee is in a dominant position and won't allow it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Daez is on top in guard.

"Ole!" shouts Lee as he jumps to the side. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Daez has eaten all the pies! Lee fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee avoids a punch combination nicely.

Daez stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Lee dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lee pulls guard. Daez preventing the sweep. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Daez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Daez pushes down on Lee's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lee is looking to improve his position.

Daez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lee with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Daez landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Daez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Daez on the ground. Lee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Daez. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee tries to get to full guard but Daez has control of the leg. Lee is not content to let Daez control the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Lee throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Daez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lee is one step ahead there. Daez wriggles free and stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Daez is not content to let Lee control the position. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Lee here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Daez sneaks back into half guard. Daez works his way to full guard. Good work. Lee preventing the sweep. Daez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lee preventing the sweep. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lee's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Lee has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lee postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Daez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lee manages to get himself to full guard.

Daez content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Daez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lee, up you get! No joy there for Daez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lee is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Daez. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Daez scores with a push kick. A jab from Daez does it's job there. Lee connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Daez moves in looking to clinch but Lee pushes him off. Lee rushes Daez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Daez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
