Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manny Torres (ranked 25007 p4p, 4221 weight class) and Muhammed Muzhaiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muhammed Muzhaiev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Manny Torres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Muhammed Muzhaiev!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muzhaiev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Torres swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Torres half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Muzhaiev closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Muzhaiev tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Torres smiles and moves away.

Muzhaiev wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Torres has him pressed against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Muzhaiev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Torres swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like Muzhaiev might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Torres can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Muzhaiev controls the pace.

Torres knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Muzhaiev on the ground.

Muzhaiev decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Torres tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Muzhaiev paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Muzhaiev slips a nice elbow through Torres's hands, connecting with Torres's forehead.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Muzhaiev is working for a kimura but Torres is defending it quite comfortably.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Torres throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Torres lands with a nice combination. Muzhaiev backs away looking to recover.
Muzhaiev just misses with a punch to the body.

Muzhaiev is taking a breather. Torres says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
