Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 27 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ding Ding Dong!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ding Dong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lewis tries to avoid it but Ding Dong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lewis to the ground. Lewis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It looked like Lewis wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Ding Dong shoots in and drives through. Lewis sprawls well.

and Lewis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Ding Ding Dong has been cut.
Jay Lewis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ding Ding Dong.
Ding Dong shoots in for a takedown but Lewis shows good takedown defense.
A little feinted left hand from Lewis on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Ding Dong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lewis but Lewis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
An attempted straight right counter from Lewis misses the target.
Lewis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ding Dong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ding Dong throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lewis was covering up waiting for the punch and Ding Dong finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Lewis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lewis tries to get out of the position.
Lewis is looking to regain half guard here but Ding Dong keeps moving and retains side control.

The ground and pound from Ding Dong seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Ding Dong is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lewis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Lewis is looking for a sweep.
Lewis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ding Dong on the ground.
Lewis is not content to let Ding Dong control the position.
Lewis looks to move to half guard but instead Ding Dong has passed into mount! Damn!

Ding Dong has control of Lewis's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lewis regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Ding Dong has hold of Lewis's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lewis manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Ding Dong is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lewis has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Lewis is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Ding Dong is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lewis has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lewis is refusing to be controlled, as Ding Dong sits in half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lewis is looking to reverse the position.

Ding Dong is looking to take a break and control but Lewis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ding Dong is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Lewis looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ding Dong gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Lewis is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ding Dong lets go of the hold and Lewis can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ding Ding Dong!
In his post fight interview, Ding Ding Dong started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
