Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob (ranked 4121 p4p, 4124 weight class) and Yonatan Augustus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Augustus enables Bob to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Augustus manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Bob throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bob slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Bob connects with a couple of short punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Augustus can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bob controls the pace.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bob's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bob is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bob lands a couple of elbows.

Bob lands a couple of digs.
Bob content to stall in guard here.
Augustus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bob's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Bob stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Bob has clasped his hands together around Augustus's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Bob is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Augustus's shoulder. That is not cool.
Augustus looks winded!

Bob is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Augustus is trying to escape and Bob transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Augustus is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bob! Very nice indeed!
