The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adems gets a takedown into half guard.
Engle looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

I looks like Adems might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Adems stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Adems should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Adems is trying to work for a kimura but Engle is defending well.

Engle throws a hook to the side of Adems's head but Adems sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Adems thows a left - swing and a miss!
Engle throws out a loose jab but Adems uses good head movement to avoid it.
Engle misses with an uppercut. Adems saw that one coming.
Adems rushes Engle and presses him up against the cage.
Adems ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Adems no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Adems has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Engle off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Adems moves out of range as Engle strikes.
The fighters circling - Engle throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Adems swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Adems thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Engle if he has to take too many more of those.

Adems shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Engle as he jumps to the side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Adems wants to work for an arm triangle but Engle is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Adems seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Engle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Adems looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Engle with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Engle scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Adems manages to mount him!

Engle is squirming around, avoiding Adems's attempts to control the action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Adems's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Tommie Engle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jhon Adems comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Adems has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
