Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adonis Ford (ranked 2926 p4p, 3789 weight class) and Finley Cowan (ranked 282 p4p, 345 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cowan, pushing him back against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Ford is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Ford gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cowan.
Ford jumps guard and drags Cowan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Ford bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cowan's guard.
Ford stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cowan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ford is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ford tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Cowan manages to circle out of the way.

Cowan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ford. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cowan throws a sloppy strike and Ford has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Cowan is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Ford!
