Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Draski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Deontay DJ!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DJ blocks a head kick by Draski.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from DJ! But no joy.
DJ misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Draski appears to be looking for a big counter.
A chopping leg kick lands by DJ.
Draski avoids a punch combination nicely.
Draski is looking to clinch but DJ is avoiding it.
Draski fails in his attempt to clinch.
DJ avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Draski is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DJ ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Draski moves away.
Draski moves in looking to clinch but DJ pushes him off.
DJ tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Draski tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. DJ manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Draski has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Scrap Squad in the buildup to the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
DJ throws a wild body kick that Draski sees coming a mile off.
Draski tries to clinch there but DJ circles away.
Both fighters circling a little - DJ finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
DJ lands a high kick!
It looks like Ivan Draski has been cut.
DJ has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Draski takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Draski is breathing heavily.
Draski throws a body shot but no joy.
DJ circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Draski drops to the canvas, hurt badly! DJ follows Draski to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deontay DJ!
A relieved looking Deontay DJ thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
