Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Gavin (ranked 23600 p4p, 23732 weight class) and Takashi Yamabuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Gavin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Yamabuki! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamabuki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gavin cracks Yamabuki with an open hand slap. Gavin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Yamabuki's half guard. Gavin not doing much here.
Gavin drops an elbow to the side of Yamabuki's head. Gavin is looking to advance position but Yamabuki won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gavin sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gavin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gavin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yamabuki doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gavin. Gavin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gavin trying to mount his opponent but Yamabuki defends it. Gavin is controlling the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gavin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Yamabuki! Gavin controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gavin looking to isolate an arm here. Yamabuki doesn't see it coming and as Gavin extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Gavin!
