Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Enzo Souza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sean Yamamoto!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto gets the takedown into side control.
Yamamoto tries to stand but Souza is controlling his head.
Yamamoto stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nice sprawl there from Souza as Yamamoto shoots in.
Yamamoto shoots for a double leg takedown but Souza sprawls well. He's pushed Yamamoto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Yamamoto moves in looking to clinch but Souza pushes him off.
Yamamoto fails with a takedown attempt.
Enzo Souza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Yamamoto.
Yamamoto tries for a takedown but Souza sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Yamamoto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Yamamoto shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Souza but Souza pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Yamamoto looks gassed!
Souza throws a shot to the body.
Souza connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Sean Yamamoto has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Souza misses with a body kick.
Some wild striking there from Souza.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Souza lands a big shot that drops Yamamoto! Can he finish him?
Yamamoto is rocked!
Souza passes into half guard.
Yamamoto is still in real trouble! Can Souza finish him?
Souza escapes and gets back to his feet.
Yamamoto seems to have recovered his senses.
Souza swinging wilding here.
Yamamoto walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Souza lands with a big right hook that stumbles Yamamoto - he's out on his feet here! Souza follows up with another monster hook that separates Yamamoto from consciousness! Yamamoto falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Souza stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Enzo Souza!
