Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida throws a series of punches but Fitzlarry avoids them all with ease.
Machida misses with a wild combination.
Fitzlarry swats away the attempt to clinch by Machida.
Machida connects with a solid leg kick.
Fitzlarry on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Machida. Machida obviously looking to wear him down.
Fitzlarry looks to clinch
and Machida counters by clinching up.
Fitzlarry blocks the elbow strike.
Fitzlarry jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Machida wants to control from the top but Fitzlarry keeps moving.
Fitzlarry working for a triangle but Machida defends it easily.
Machida stands and steps away. Fitzlarry gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Machida counters with a right hand to the body.

Machida wants to break free but Fitzlarry has control.
Fitzlarry tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lyoto Machida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gerald Fitzlarry.
Fitzlarry keeps control of Machida as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Machida throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Machida wants to break the clinch but can't.

Machida tries to land a knee to the head but Fitzlarry blocks with his arms.
Fitzlarry pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Fitzlarry tries to pull guard but Machida won't allow it.
Machida misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Fitzlarry.
Machida with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Fitzlarry jumps guard and drags Machida to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Fitzlarry had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Machida is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fitzlarry Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Machida's back instead.
Machida is trying to get back to his feet but Fitzlarry has full control of the position and if anything, Machida has just worked his way into a worse spot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Machida trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Fitzlarry has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Machida! Can he survive? No! He's out! Fitzlarry gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
