The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from CAPETA. CAPETA gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
CAPETA gets the takedown into side control.
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for CAPETA on the ground.
CAPETA looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Jones is trying to improve his position.
CAPETA thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. CAPETA sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jones seems to be working for a kimura but CAPETA defends the submission attempt.
Still in half guard, Jones seems content to control.

CAPETA has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Jones stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows CAPETA to get to his feet.

No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
CAPETA is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
CAPETA is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well.

CAPETA looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

CAPETA looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jones trying to control but CAPETA is working from the bottom.
CAPETA escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jones stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming CAPETA to the mat! CAPETA manages to get full guard.
Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
CAPETA has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jones stands and steps away. CAPETA gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches CAPETA napping and manages to drive through into side control!
CAPETA manages to get back to half guard.
Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but CAPETA does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
CAPETA looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Jones winds up and cracks CAPETA with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
CAPETA wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it.
CAPETA is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily.
Jones prevents CAPETA from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Micha Jones dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
CAPETA with a lazy takedown attempt
and Jones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Jones decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Jones has CAPETA up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jones bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps CAPETA's head backwards.
CAPETA tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily
enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
CAPETA misses with a takedown
and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Micha Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JHONNES CAPETA.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
CAPETA is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jones has his hands clasped together but CAPETA extends an breaks Jones's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by CAPETA.
