The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hippo lands a really nice looking cross but Lopez seems unphased.
It looks like Louie Lopez has been cut.
Hippo throws a big shot that misses.
Hippo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lopez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Hippo lands a hook that stumbles Lopez back into the cage. Hippo follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Lopez to the canvas! Hippo pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Lopez has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). King Hippo!
King Hippo tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
