The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Out leaves Hastings with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Out circles away from the clinch attempt.

Out throws a looping overhand right but Hastings ducks down to avoid it.

Hastings shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Out napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Out is trying to control Hastings's posture but Hastings avoids it.
Hastings is looking to take a break and control but Out is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Hastings tries to stand but Out controls the position and pulls Hastings into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Out had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hastings defends it easily.
Hastings is working Out over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Out wants to sweep here but Hastings controlling him for the moment.

Hastings is pushing down on Out's leg trying to pass to half guard. Out is fighting to maintain full guard but Hastings has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's time! Hastings's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Hastings bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Hastings wants to take a breather but Out is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Out keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Knock Out seems to be getting the better of the standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

I would just about give that final round to Knock Out.
