Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Top Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Rich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dog shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Dog prevents Rich from improving his position.
Rich is trying to maintain the position but Dog is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dog stalling.
Rich wants to improve his position but Dog is controlling well.
Dog seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Rich actively working from the bottom here.

Rich looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dog throws a head kick that misses.
Rich keeps the fight on the outside.

so Dog counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Dog slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Rich has his foot on Dog's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dog works his way back into a safe position though.
Rich is trying to control the position but Dog postures up.
Dog is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Dog is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rich has escaped the position, nice work there.

Dog decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rich to his feet.

Dog is nestled in close to Rich, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Dog stands up and beckons Rich to join him on the feet.

Rich looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rich is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dog is just riding it out for now. Rich eventually gives up the hold.
Dog won't allow Rich to pass to mount.
Rich winds up and cracks Dog with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rich is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Rich wants to control but Dog is keeping him busy.

Dog is going olschool here, as he tries to force Rich to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rich shrugs it off.

Top Dog overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rich is trying to reverse the position but instead Dog has taken his back - oops!

Rich is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Dog.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Rich is breathing heavily.

Dog is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Rich has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rich seems a little lost for a moment, as Dog dominates the positioning.
Dog tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dog throws a sloppy head kick and Rich moves out of range easily.

Dog misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rich with a poor takedown

and Dog counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Rich looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Rich is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Rich is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Dog pulls his head out easily.
Tony Rich has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Dog slows the pace down in half guard.
Rich wants to control but Dog is keeping busy.

Top Dog is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Dog has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
