Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nyongesa Chidike (ranked 4191 p4p, 4015 weight class) and Charles Carvalho (ranked 381 p4p, 194 weight class). Carvalho has chosen Luzes as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charles Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chidike tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carvalho swivels and escapes.
Carvalho misses with a jab, cross combination.
Chidike shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Carvalho is trying to stand up here but Chidike is controlling him well.
Chidike is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Carvalho reverses the position - he's now on top in Chidike's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Chidike closes the distance and clinches up with Carvalho, looking for a takedown. Chidike pushes Carvalho against the cage but Carvalho circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Chidike content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Chidike lands a big elbow - Carvalho is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Chidike!

Nyongesa Chidike was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
