Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Banner (ranked 4012 p4p, 4206 weight class) and Joel Joyce (ranked 273 p4p, 263 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lamont Banner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joel Joyce!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joyce shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Banner counters with a stiff right hand.
Banner moves into range and connects with a jab.
Joyce closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Banner sizes up Joyce with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Banner throws a series of strikes that have Joyce backpedaling.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Banner, as that shot connected.
Joyce has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Joyce there as he acknowledges the shot.
Joyce is rocked!
Banner stalks Joyce and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Joyce's face. Joyce staggers backwards, shaken.
Joyce is still on wobbly legs! Can Banner finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Banner feints with a jab and clips Joyce right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Joyce is sent crashing into the canvas and Banner leaps in for the kill! Joyce tries to get to his feet but Banner is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Joyce is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lamont Banner!
