This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 14 losses; Jackson Hole! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Hole gets tackled into the ropes by Mason. Mason maintains the clinch. Hole is trying to trip Mason. He has hold of a leg but Mason is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hole persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Mason (0) vs (2) Hole Mason on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mason tries to get out of the position. Hole controls from within his opponent's guard. Hole stopping the sweep attempt from Mason. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hole tries to free his leg and advance position but Mason is retaining full guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mason can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hole controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mason is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hole slips nicely into half guard. Hole slows the pace down in half guard. Hole's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Mason is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hole pulls his head out easily. Hole not doing much here.

It looks like Hole might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. More stalling from Hole. Hole passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mason! Score +3 for passing guard: Mason (0) vs (5) Hole Hole looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hole with more of the same as he continues to hold on. Hole is continuing to stall. Let's hope that Hole has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mason is looking to improve his position but Hole isn't that keen on the idea. Hole takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Hole. Yet more stalling tactics from Hole.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Hole looking for a guillotine from mount but Mason is having none of it. Hole controlling from mount. Hole wants to finish this one by submission but Mason is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hole. Hole looking to control and managing it successfully.

Hole tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mason tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hole controlling from mount.
