Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tatu Kurri (ranked 2539 p4p, 3339 weight class) and Justin Richardson (ranked 0 p4p, 321 weight class). Richardson has chosen Fear of the Dark as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 25 - 23 - 0, fighting out of London, Tatu Kurri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Richardson! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kurri has taken the fight to the clinch.
Richardson has had enough of the clinch but Kurri keeps him there for the moment. Kurri tries for a takedown but Richardson manages to get underhooks.
Kurri tries to score a body lock takedown but Richardson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Richardson prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tatu Kurri. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kurri works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Kurri passes into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kurri is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kurri looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kurri is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Richardson sees it coming and defends easily. Kurri performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kurri seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Richardson for as long as he can get away with. Kurri's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kurri continues to stall. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kurri passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Richardson! Kurri looking to control and managing it successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kurri wants to finish this one by submission but Richardson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kurri. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tatu Kurri dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Kurri shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Richardson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Tatu Kurri is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Richardson fails to land with a series of punches.
Kurri looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kurri will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kurri moves in looking to clinch but Richardson pushes him off. Richardson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Kurri's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kurri duly obliges. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richardson misses with a straight right. enabling Kurri to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kurri slips under a jab from Richardson. Kurri clinches up with Richardson and pushes him back against the cage. Kurri has Richardson pressed against the cage, preventing Richardson from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Richardson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kurri has clasped his hands together around Richardson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. A lull in the action here as Kurri stalls from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kurri prevents Richardson from escaping the position. Kurri controls the position from side control. Kurri advances nicely into full mount. Kurri tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richardson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kurri controlling from the full mount. Kurri looking for a guillotine from mount but Richardson is having none of it. Kurri tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kurri is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Richardson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Richardson shrugs it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kurri controlling from the full mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Further stalling from Kurri. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tatu Kurri dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Richardson swings for the body but Kurri moves out of range.
Justin Richardson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kurri shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kurri is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Richardson can do anything to dispel that myth. Richardson can't keep his opponent in guard - Kurri advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kurri with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Kurri is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kurri looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richardson wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kurri is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Richardson is forced to tap! Great finish!
