The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutherland takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Peterson lands a really nice looking cross but Sutherland seems unphased.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Sutherland.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sutherland connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Peterson some visible discomfort.

Sutherland lands a couple of good shots and Peterson has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
It looks like Melvin Peterson has been cut.

Peterson just trying to survive but Sutherland is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Peterson covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Sutherland lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
