Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hyu Head (ranked 24285 p4p, 24819 weight class) and Jay Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Head might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eye of the tiger. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lewis will feel that in the morning.
Head shoots in but Lewis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lewis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Lewis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Danga de danga de dang - Head scores with a four punch combination!
Head shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Head trying to control but Lewis is working from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lewis can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lewis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Head can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lewis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Head. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Head in particular looking to stall.
We've been hearing that Head has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Head moves nicely into side control.

Lewis is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Head's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Head! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Lewis has tapped! This one is allllll over!
