Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23902 p4p, 23920 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 35 - 51 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 51 - 41 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Mibangon scores with a takedown into Buut's guard. Mibangon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mibangon lands a couple of decent looking shots. Buut controls Mibangon momentarily but Mibangon frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mibangon is looking to stand up but Buut won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut managing to control the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mibangon takes a swing at Buut's ribcage but misses. Nice takedown defense from Mibangon. No joy for Buut on that attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buut throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mibangon shoots for a takedown but Buut saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A nice side step and Buut releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Buut tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mibangon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Buut somewhat. And Mibangon counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Buut is defended easily by Mibangon. It appears Mibangon was looking to counter with a kick there. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. Buut defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mibangon. Mibangon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Buut looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Buut struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. I wouldn't like to be where Buut is right now. Mibangon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Minatay Mibangon dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Buut shoots and misses and Mibangon counters with a three punch combo that has Buut backing up. Buut nods at Mibangon to acknowledge the strikes. Buut changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mibangon tries to avoid it but Buut manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mibangon to the ground. Mibangon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Buut shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Mibangon is looking for a sweep. Buut is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon keeping control of the position. Mibangon tries to get to full guard but Buut has control of the leg. Mibangon trying to control here.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Mibangon shoots in looking for a takedown but Buut manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mibangon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mibangon moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromBuut. Mibangon leaves Buut with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mibangon throws a quick counter kick to the body but Buut avoids it. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck for Mibangon with that takedown attempt. Buut thinks about the counter body kick. Buut shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mibangon as he avoids it easily. Buut throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mibangon was covering up waiting for the punch and Buut finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mibangon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buut stays in close to Mibangon's body and controls the position. Minatay Mibangon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Let's hope that Buut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon is looking to sweep but instead, Buut has passed into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Mibangon gets a double leg takedown into Buut's guard. Buut wants to sweep but no luck. Mibangon looking to sit in guard and control but Buut gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon keeping moving, preventing Buut from controlling successfully. Mibangon being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Mibangon wants to sweep but no luck. Buut trying to control but Mibangon is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Buut is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mibangon pulls Buut in to control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mibangon shoots in and bounces Buut off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mibangon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut seems keen to control Mibangon's posture. Mibangon trying to stand up but can't free himself from Buut's guard. Mibangon is stalling in the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Buut controlling the position. Buut is trying to keep Mibangon in close.
Mibangon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mibangon as he jumps to the side. Mibangon seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
And that's the end of the fight! Minatay Mibangon showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mibangon has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
