The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alderman misses with the combination.
Alderman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cabresco's half guard. Alderman is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Cabresco has managed to free his arm - good work. Cabresco pushes Alderman off and gets back to his feet. Cabresco misses with a takedown and Alderman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Alderman is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

It looks like Fernando Cabresco has been cut. Nice elbow from Alderman. Alderman lands with a short shot to the head. Alderman pulls guard successfully.
Cabresco passes Alderman's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alderman makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Alderman. Cabresco not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Cabresco will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Alderman is looking for a triangle but Cabresco pushes his legs off easily.
Alderman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cabresco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cabresco stands up and waves to Alderman to follow him. Cabresco tries to clinch but fails miserably and Alderman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Alderman throws a big right hand that misses. Alderman gets to his feet. Cabresco looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cabresco doesn't succeed with the takedown and Alderman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cabresco's guard. Cabresco is breathing heavily. Alderman trying to control but Cabresco is working from the bottom. Cabresco wants to improve his position but instead Alderman has moved into half guard.
Cabresco is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Alderman maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Cabresco could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Alderman has cracked it and Cabresco is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Alderman!
