The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
J misses with a wild body shot.
J lands with a nice body kick.
J tries to clinch but Smart moves out of range.
J pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smart tries to clinch but fails miserably
and J counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Smart is looking to clinch.
J pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A clash of legs there as Smart blocks the low kick.
J keeps the fight on the outside.
J misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smart avoids the body shot from J.
J pulls out of a head kick attempt.
J chopping away at his opponent's legs.
J could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from J, right into the meat.
Smart tries for a takedown but J sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

J lands with a nice body kick.
Smart stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from J.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Smart.
J scores with a head kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Oooh a lovely combination from J sends Smart down but not out. J dives into side control looking to finish.
Smart is rocked!

Smart tries to buck J off but J is having none of it.
Smart is still in real trouble! Can J finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smart seems to have recovered his senses.
J wants to stand but Smart has his arm trapped.

Smart moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Smart wants to sweep here but J controlling him for the moment.
Smart manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. J manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Smart postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Smart slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Smart stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. J swivels though and keeps the full guard.
J wants to stand and escape but Smart is having none of it.

Smart lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Smart misses with a jab, cross combination.
J lands with a kick to the temple. Smart shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
T J is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
J pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smart tries to keep at a distance but J has taken the fight into the clinch.
J with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
J escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Smart shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with J but J pushes him off and we're back to square one.
T J has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Smart.

Smart takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
J has taken the fight to the clinch.

Smart shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with J but J pushes him off and we're back to square one.
J lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Smart takes a kick to the side of the head.
J throws a sloppy head kick and Smart moves out of range easily.
Smart misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A head kick lands from J that sends Smart to the canvas. Smart tries to scramble back to his feet but J brings him back down into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
J tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
J knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smart on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smart gets back to half guard.
J tries to stand and escape but Smart is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

J has closed the distance and engaged Smart in a clinch.

Smart misses with a takedown attempt - J sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Smart walks forward, straight into a front kick from J.
J thows a body kick. Smart tries to catch it but that hurt him.
J closes the distance and clinches.

J using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Smart has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

J tries to clinch up but Smart circles away and keeps his distance.

J checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
J throws a lazy head kick
and Smart holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Smart scores with a hook to the body.
Smart has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed J clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Oooh a big shot gets through from Smart. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Smart scores with punches from the back.
Smart has got one arm under J's chin. This could be trouble... J trying to control the other hand but Smart gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, J has tapped out! The fight is over!
