The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bender falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cherry counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bender takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Cherry gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Cherry tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Cherry.
Bender prevents the takedown attempt.
Cherry prevents a body shot from Bender.
Bender struggles to land a body shot inside as Cherry controls his hands.
Bender throws a head punch that misses.
Cherry is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bender pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Cherry tries a body shot but Bender blocks it.

Bender wants to get back to striking at distance but Cherry won't allow it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bender paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Bender cracks Cherry with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Cherry falls to his knees and Bender doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
