Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hrvoje Kovacevic (ranked 226 p4p, 832 weight class) and Petr Stukov (ranked 30 p4p, 118 weight class). Hrvoje Kovacevic could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Petr Stukov's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stukov throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Kovacevic counters with a nice uppercut.
Stukov throws a hook to the side of Kovacevic's head but Kovacevic sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kovacevic is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Kovacevic loads up on a big right hand but Stukov slips the punch.
Stukov's coach down at St Petersburg MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Stukov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Stukov throws a leg kick but Kovacevic sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Kovacevic feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Stukov sprawling to the canvas! Stukov rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kovacevic finish him?!

Kovacevic tries to close the distance and clinch but Stukov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kovacevic cracks Stukov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kovacevic has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Stukov to stand back up!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Stukov might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Kovacevic has got the better of the exchanges.
