PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vvv Vvv (ranked 23121 p4p, 23273 weight class) and Pagadianon Inday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 103 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vvv Vvv!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 96 - 38 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pagadianon Inday!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Vvv misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Inday counters with a body kick.

Vvv feints and as Inday raises his hands in defense, Vvv changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Vvv trying to control the position from guard on top but Inday is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Inday tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Vvv being controlled here momentarily.
Inday bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vvv's guard.

Inday is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Vvv controlling the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vvv.
Vvv dives in and grabs Inday's left leg, looking for a takedown. Inday pushes down on Vvv's head and hops out.
As Vvv backs off Inday throws a huge counter combo but Vvv manages to avoid it all.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vvv Vvv. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Inday shoots in for a takedown but Vvv shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Inday fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vvv avoids it really well and circles away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Horrible takedown attempt by Inday or perhaps it was just good defense by Vvv, which made it look bad.
Inday looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Vvv throws a quick counter kick to the body but Inday avoids it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Vvv Vvv will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Vvv bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Vvv trying to control the position but Inday is working away.
Vvv is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Inday is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Inday wants to control but Vvv postures up.

Vvv remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Inday isn't going anywhere.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Inday tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vvv wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vvv is defended easily by Inday.
Inday thinks about the counter body kick.

Inday shoots in and bounces Vvv off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Inday not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vvv looking to control but Inday passes into half guard.
Inday controlling the pace.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Vvv is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Pagadianon Inday showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Vvv slaps away a takedown attempt from Inday, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Vvv gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pagadianon Inday has got the better of the ground game so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Inday loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Vvv has control of Inday's left arm, preventing Inday from doing any damage.
Vvv being controlled here, momentarily.
Vvv throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Vvv has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Vvv looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Vvv preventing the sweep.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vvv wants to control from the top but Inday keeps moving.
Inday has Vvv pulled in close to control his posture.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Inday throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Inday. No joy for Vvv on that attempt.
Inday swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Inday stuffs the takedown.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Vvv closes the distance and clinches up with Inday, looking for a takedown. Vvv pushes Inday against the cage but Inday circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pagadianon Inday comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Inday has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
