Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grant Daws (ranked 3611 p4p, 4862 weight class) and Brendan Collazo (ranked 388 p4p, 454 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Grant Daws ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brendan Collazo! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daws fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Collazo, pushing him back against the cage. Daws lands a body shot in the clinch.
Daws is pushing Collazo up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Daws just leaning against Collazo, taking a breather. Daws is working Collazo over against the cage. Collazo fails to pull guard.

Daws takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Daws avoids the attempt from Collazo to control. Collazo felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Daws is trying to take his opponent's back.

Collazo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Daws walks away with a smile on his face. Collazo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Daws closes the distance and clinches. Collazo is trying to pull guard but Daws turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. and Daws makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Daws lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Collazo at a distance.
Daws fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Collazo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Collazo misses with a takedown and Daws counters with a nice body shot. Daws thuds a left hand into Collazo's body. Daws gets a clinch. Collazo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Daws works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

and Daws counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Collazo thinking. Daws bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Collazo is still on wobbly legs! Can Daws finish him? Daws lands with a shot to the body. Collazo walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Daws swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
