PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Dinny (ranked 24726 p4p, 25235 weight class) and Jan Blachowicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Jan Blachowicz looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Dinny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan Blachowicz!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dinny shoots in for a takedown but Blachowicz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A little jabbing left from Blachowicz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Blachowicz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Blachowicz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dinny goes for a double leg but Blachowicz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Blachowicz continues to drive forward.
Despite the aggression on Blachowicz's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Blachowicz as Dinny tries to tie him up.
Dinny is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Blachowicz gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Dinny moves in looking to clinch but Blachowicz pushes him off.
Blachowicz slaps away a takedown attempt from Dinny, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Blachowicz changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Blachowicz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dinny's waist but Dinny gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blachowicz off to one side.
Dinny throws a quick counter kick to the body but Blachowicz avoids it.
Blachowicz takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Dinny is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Dinny darts in looking for a takedown but Blachowicz gets double underhooks and turns Dinny into the cage.
Dinny is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Dinny has had enough of the clinch but Blachowicz keeps him there for the moment.
Dinny misses with a punch to the body.
Blachowicz blocks an elbow strike.
Dinny jumps guard but Blachowicz stands there with Dinny around his waist. Dinny gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Blachowicz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dinny was covering up waiting for the punch and Blachowicz finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Dinny is wriggling around but Blachowicz manages to pass to half guard.

Blachowicz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Blachowicz is trying to control. Dinny wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Blachowicz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Blachowicz fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dinny shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Blachowicz defends it nicely.

Well Blachowicz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
