Northrop has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Nikolai Magomedov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Magomedov cracks Northrop with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Northrop get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Northrop looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!

Northrop tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Magomedov landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Magomedov creates a bit of space and fires a knee right up the middle, almost lifting Northrop off his feet and sending him crashing to the canvas! Northrop is trying to get back to his feet but his equilibrium is completely gone! The referee has called it off! This fight is over! Magomedov is jumping up and down like a mad man, celebrating with his cornermen.
