Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Flynn Silva (ranked 3158 p4p, 25298 weight class) and Giovanni Santos (ranked 375 p4p, 577 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Flynn Silva has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Flynn Silva seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a shot to the body
and Santos counters with a nice uppercut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Santos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Santos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Silva.
Santos avoids the body shot from Silva.
Santos unleashes a big counter combination but Silva bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Silva shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Santos manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Silva is standing up over Santos. Santos looks to escape but Silva dives into side control.

Silva has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santos is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Silva.
Silva is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Santos. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Santos is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Silva lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Silva.
Silva is raining down hard shots and and Santos has had enough - he's tapped out due to the strikes!
