Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera darts in looking for a takedown but Marakmanov gets double underhooks and turns Rivera into the cage.
It looked like Marakmanov was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Rivera.
Rivera tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marakmanov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Marakmanov shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Marakmanov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Marakmanov wants to pass to mount but Rivera is defending the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marakmanov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Rivera is looking to improve his position.

Marakmanov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rivera doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marakmanov.
Marakmanov is working for a kimura but Rivera is defending it quite comfortably.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marakmanov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
