Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Stony Marciano (ranked 5196 p4p, 24211 weight class) and Akeen Coker (ranked 476 p4p, 605 weight class). Marciano's entrance music is IQ 98. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Stony Marciano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akeen Coker! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Coker. Some wild striking there from Coker.
Marciano throwing a counter right hand but Coker manages to avoid it. Coker takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Coker throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Marciano's head. Coker connects with a high kick. Marciano lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Coker misses with a body punch
enabling Marciano to counter with a crisp jab. Sloppy strikes from Marciano. Those never looked like landing. Coker let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Marciano throws a lazy right hand but Coker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Marciano tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Coker was well out of range. Poor timing from Marciano. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Coker swings for the body but Marciano moves out of range.
Marciano fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Coker looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marciano misses with a body shot.
Coker swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Sloppy strikes from Coker. Those never looked like landing. Coker throws a solid leg kick but Marciano takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Coker. Marciano throws a big counter combination but Coker scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Coker takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Coker swings for the body but Marciano moves out of range.
Coker misses with a looping left. Marciano swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Marciano takes a swing at Coker's ribcage but misses. Marciano throws a series of punches but Coker moves out of range. Coker throws a right and a left that Marciano avoids nicely. Coker misses with a two punch combination.
Coker throws a head kick that misses. Marciano seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Marciano fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Coker manages to avoid it. Marciano is looking to wear down Coker with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coker throws a sloppy head kick and Marciano moves out of range easily. An attempted straight right counter from Marciano misses the target. Coker lands with a good body shot. Coker avoids a punch combination nicely.

Marciano walks into a left hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Coker thows a leg kick but Marciano checks it and Marciano counters with a right hand to the body. Coker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A cross from Marciano lands. Coker looks to land a body kick but Marciano moved away. It looked like Marciano wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Marciano looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Marciano looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Stony Marciano will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Coker swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Marciano counters with a three punch combo that has Coker backing up. Coker nods at Marciano to acknowledge the strikes. Marciano misses the shot to the body. A telegraphed right hand from Marciano misses the target. Coker counters with a body kick. Marciano jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Marciano looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Stony Marciano is winning the standup battle so far. Marciano pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marciano closes the distance and clinches. Coker looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Coker keeps control of Marciano as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Coker has Marciano pressed against the ropes, preventing Marciano from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Coker manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marciano circles away quickly and effectively. Marciano was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. No joy there for Coker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Coker counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Marciano has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Coker. Marciano misses with a jab, cross combination.
Marciano throws a body punch but Coker moves out of range. Marciano throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Coker misses with a straight right. Akeen Coker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A looping hook to the body misses from Coker. Marciano does a little dance to reset his feet. Marciano wants to clinch up but Coker keeps it at a distance. Coker thows a leg kick but Marciano checks it and Marciano counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Coker just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A jab from Marciano misses. Coker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Marciano cracks a nice hook into Coker's ribs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marciano is looking to score with low kicks. Marciano showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Coker.
Marciano tests Coker's chin there with a solid looking shot. Marciano waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Coker. Coker misses with the body kick and Marciano counters with a leg kick. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Coker lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Marciano has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Marciano and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Marciano punishes Coker's body with a nice straight punch. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Stony Marciano dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Marciano misses with a head kick.
Marciano ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coker moves away. Coker throws a body punch but Marciano moves out of range. Marciano went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. A lazy left from Coker finds it's target. Marciano wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Marciano throws a body shot but no joy. Marciano uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Coker. Coker tries to work over Marciano's front leg with a kick but Marciano checks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marciano tests Coker's chin there with a solid looking shot. Coker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Marciano is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Coker can do to turn this around? Marciano looks to land a right hand but Coker moved out of range. Marciano pushes Coker up against the ropes in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marciano is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Marciano is trying to break the clinch but Coker is controlling him. Coker prevents Marciano from breaking the clinch. Coker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Marciano misses with a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Marciano throws out a powerful jab. Coker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marciano was well out of range. Poor timing from Coker. An attempted straight right counter from Marciano misses the target. Marciano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Coker. Coker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Marciano wants to clinch. Marciano throws a nice looking combination but Coker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Marciano lands a right hook to the body.
Marciano moves out of range of the leg kick from Coker. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marciano throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Coker lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Marciano backs up against the ropes.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but Stony Marciano did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round! Sloppy strikes from Marciano. Those never looked like landing. Coker moves out of range of the strikes. Coker throws out a counter right but Marciano avoids it with no problem. Coker looks to land a body kick but Marciano moved away. Marciano will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A big right from Marciano misses. Coker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Coker is rocked! Coker drops his guard momentarily, allowing Marciano to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Coker! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Marciano takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Stony Marciano! Stony Marciano decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
