The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Abner gets in close and instigates a clinch. Everett prevents the takedown attempt.
Abner decides to pull guard. Everett slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Abner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Everett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Abner wants to sweep here but Everett controlling him for the moment.

The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Abner stands and throws Everett's legs to the side, diving into side control. Everett on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Everett tries to get out of the position. Abner wants to control from the top but Everett keeps moving. Abner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Abner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Everett looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Abner has picked Everett up and slammed him!
