And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 10 losses; Felix Krnacova! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Krnacova darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Hole (0) vs (2) Krnacova Hole slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Krnacova drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Krnacova jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Krnacova trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hole is on top in guard.
Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Hole (2) vs (2) Krnacova Hole passes into half guard. Hole looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Krnacova is looking to improve his position.
Hole controlling the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hole is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hole is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hole has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Hole seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Krnacova for as long as he can get away with. This is a sustained period of stalling by Hole. Hole uses his free foot to push down on Krnacova's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Krnacova. Score +3 for passing guard: Hole (5) vs (2) Krnacova Hole controlling from the full mount. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Krnacova can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krnacova tries to hold on but Hole postures up. Hole content just to control the position here. Krnacova is desperately trying to improve his position but Hole has a good base and remains in mount. Hole tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hole has isolated one of Krnacova's arms. Krnacova looking to fight him off but Hole twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
