The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lorenz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but ansari moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Lorenz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because ansari is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
ansari controlling the position well here. Lorenz rolled but ansari kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
ansari thows a strike but Lorenz uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by Lorenz as he ends up in ansari 's guard!
ansari wants to stand up but Lorenz is controlling him.
ansari is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Thomas Lorenz will probably get the nod.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lorenz has managed to clinch.
Lorenz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Lorenz counters with a nice double leg into side control. ansari won't be happy with that.

Lorenz controls the position.
ansari is still in real trouble! Can Lorenz finish him?
ansari takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
ansari is trying to escape the position but Lorenz is controlling the position.
Lorenz has hold of ansari's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! ansari tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lorenz cranks the arm and ansari screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from ansari, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
