Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bas Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutten comes to the cage accompanied by You call my name. The key to victory for Bas Rutten has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman shoots in looking for a takedown. Rutten tries to sprawl out of it but Coleman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rutten manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Coleman looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Rutten rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Coleman moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rutten throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Rutten tries to close the distance and clinch up but Coleman swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rutten with a lazy takedown attempt and Coleman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Coleman. Rutten lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Coleman! Rutten manages to capitalize on a mistake by Coleman to take his back! Rutten trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutten is really struggling to control Coleman but he's trying to hold on to the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rutten is not going to allow Coleman to sit and survive in this position. Rutten is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Rutten gets his hands free as Coleman looks to control. Rutten is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Coleman defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Coleman prevents Rutten from getting a body triangle. Rutten wants to control the position but Coleman frees himself and scrambles - Rutten manages to regain control in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Coleman manages to get back to half guard. Rutten is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rutten is breathing heavily. Coleman is trying to control but Rutten manages to pass to mount!
Coleman controls the position. Coleman is desperately trying to improve his position but Rutten has a good base and remains in mount. Coleman gets back to half guard. Rutten is thwarting Coleman's attempts to control the position. Rutten thows a huge punch but Coleman dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coleman tries to roll over but Rutten keeps him under control. Rutten looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Rutten sitting and controlling from the half guard. Coleman is looking to improve his position.
Rutten is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rutten fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Coleman manages to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Coleman slips a jab and a cross from Rutten.
Coleman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rutten moves into the clinch. Rutten displaying some good clinch control by pressing Coleman up against the cage. Rutten is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mark Coleman will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Coleman lands with a cross. Rutten misses with a takedown attempt so Coleman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rutten utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Coleman advances position into side control! Coleman is staying tight to Rutten's torso, preventing him from escaping. Rutten tries to buck Coleman off but Coleman is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rutten sneaks back into half guard. Coleman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rutten defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutten tries to kick Coleman off but Coleman keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Coleman wants to stand but Rutten has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Coleman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Rutten looking for submissions off his back. Coleman is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Coleman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rutten's head. Rutten is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Coleman scores with a couple of nice shots.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Coleman shoots and misses and Rutten holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rutten taking a breather. Rutten has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Coleman uses from the top position. Rutten trying to control the position.
Coleman scoring with punches to the head and body. Rutten wants to stand and escape but Coleman is having none of it. Coleman stays in close to Rutten's body and controls the position. Rutten looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Coleman stands and steps away. Rutten gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Coleman blocks a head kick by Rutten.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rutten throws a head kick that misses. Rutten tries to clinch up and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rutten won't be happy with that. Rutten wants to control but Coleman postures up. Mark Coleman has got the better of the ground game so far. Rutten takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Coleman working the head and body with strikes. Coleman lands a few punches from side control. Coleman working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Rutten sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman is nestled in close to Rutten, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Rutten controlling the position well. Rutten pushes Coleman off looking to stand but Coleman dives back in and keeps control.
Coleman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rutten defending well though. Coleman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Rutten is looking for a sweep. Coleman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Coleman connects with a nice short shot to Rutten's temple. Coleman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rutten trying to control but Coleman postures up.
Rutten wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Coleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Rutten darts in trying to clinch and Coleman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rutten's guard now. Rutten avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rutten managing to control the position. Coleman postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rutten is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Coleman trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rutten's guard. Rutten looking for a sweep. Not yet Rutten, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutten trying to keep a closed guard but Coleman is proving a slippery customer.
Coleman chips away with some ground and pound. Coleman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Coleman thows a big elbow that misses. Coleman decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Rutten closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Rutten is trying to control. Coleman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Rutten is looking to stall here but Coleman recovers full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman trying to strike off his back.
Coleman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rutten trying to control the position from guard on top but Coleman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rutten preventing the sweep. Coleman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Coleman trying to strike off his back.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rutten misses with a few strikes there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coleman scores with a takedown into Rutten's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Coleman's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Coleman is in close to Rutten's body, working some short punches and elbows. Rutten manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Coleman is desperately trying to improve his position but Rutten has a good base and remains in mount. Rutten wants to control the pace but Coleman is squirming around nicely. Rutten thowing shots but they're missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rutten looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Rutten throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Coleman because Rutten loaded up on that one. Rutten blocks Coleman's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Coleman is in all sorts of trouble here.
Coleman wants to control but Rutten is having none of it. Rutten looking to finish Coleman with some ground and pound. This is bad for Coleman! Coleman wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Bas Rutten has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mark Coleman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Coleman trying to control the action but Rutten just sinks the hooks in.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Coleman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Coleman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
