Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matt Seal (ranked 542 p4p, 1331 weight class) and Eric Fassett (ranked 40 p4p, 101 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Seal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eric Fassett! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fassett shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Seal but Seal pushes him off and we're back to square one. Fassett scores with a shot to the body.
Fassett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Seal moves away. Seal uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Fassett throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Seal sees it coming and avoids it easily. Fassett throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fassett looks to throw the jab but Seal is out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fassett misses with a takedown letting Seal counter with a right hand. A slow jab from Seal misses its intended target. Seal waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fassett.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seal lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fassett dives in for a single leg takedown but Seal sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Matt Seal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Fassett. Seal moves away from the strike by Fassett. A little feinted left hand from Seal on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Fassett scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Seal is looking for a sweep. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Fassett working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Fassett lands some shots froms side control. Seal avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Fassett. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seal is trying to control Fassett's posture but Fassett avoids it. Seal takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. You can see the frustration on Seal's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sloppy strikes there by Fassett.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Seal prevents Fassett from improving position. Fassett working away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fassett misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Seal can't do much from the bottom here. Fassett lands some shots froms side control. Fassett trying to control the position but Seal is working away. Seal is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Fassett working away. Seal is holding Fassett down, trying to stall. Seal is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fassett working the body and head with strikes. Fassett tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Fassett passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Seal! Fassett landing punches. Seal wants to control but Fassett is having none of it. Fassett lands a big elbow. Seal really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Seal tries to lock up and control but Fassett gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Fassett scoring with strikes but Seal is staying in there. Seal is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Fassett lands a nice shot to the head. Fassett pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Fassett raining down hammerfists from mount. Fassett with the ground and pound from mount. Fassett can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Seal is looking to escape. Seal sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Seal is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fassett pulls his head out easily. Fassett drops an elbow to the side of Seal's head. Fassett working the head and body with strikes. Fassett winds up and cracks Seal with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Seal is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fassett pulls his head out easily. Seal looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Seal holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Fassett is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fassett winds up and cracks Seal with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Seal is refusing to be controlled, as Fassett sits in half guard. Fassett with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Seal is controlling Fassett's position as best he can from this difficult position. Fassett looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Fassett is thwarting Seal's attempts to control the position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fassett lands a nice short elbow. Seal looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Seal looking for submissions off his back. Seal is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Seal is holding on to half guard well. Seal looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fassett lands strikes from half guard. Fassett is trying to control. Seal wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Fassett scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Fassett is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Seal looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Fassett is looking to take a break and control but Seal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Seal looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Seal looking for submissions off his back. Fassett performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fassett is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Seal has managed to free his arm - good work. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Fassett dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Fassett has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Seal finds it's way round the side to connect with Fassett's head. Fassett misses with a low kick.

Fassett misses the shot to the body. An attempted straight right counter from Seal misses the target. Seal moves out of range of the strikes. Fassett throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Seal looks to score with a jab to the body but Fassett is just out of range. Fassett throws a big shot that misses. Fassett connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Seal momentarily.
Fassett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Seal manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seal slips a straight right by Fassett. Fassett moves away from the strike by Seal. Fassett tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Fassett keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Seal. Fassett swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Seal misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fassett.

and Fassett counters with a nice double leg into guard. Fassett chips away with some ground and pound. Seal looking to control.
Fassett throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fassett has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fassett lands a couple of digs. Seal escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fassett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Fassett missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fassett lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Seal is looking for a triangle here but Fassett uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Fassett lands a decent elbow from side control. Seal tries to buck Fassett off but Fassett is having none of it. Fassett tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fassett has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Seal dodges the ground and pound from Fassett. Fassett lands some shots froms side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Seal on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Seal wants to control but Fassett postures up. Fassett is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Seal has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fassett looks up at the clock and then as Seal takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fassett smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Seal wants to control but Fassett postures up. Fassett is working Seal over with some ground and pound from side control. Seal is trying to control Fassett's posture but Fassett avoids it. Fassett slows the pace down. Fassett grinds an elbow into Seal's temple. Seal can't do much from the bottom here. Fassett is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Seal is trying to escape and Fassett transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Seal is forced to tap! Nice work there by Fassett! Very nice indeed!
